I was browsing
Youtube recently just checking out some drumming exercises and allotting some time for my hobby. For the benefit of those who don't know me, I'm actually hooked and addicted in playing drums and Games of the Generals, and some other stuffs. I always find time to pamper my self with these addictions.
Going back, I found this really cool video about paradiddle, one of the 40 rudiments of drumming; I find it really cool that I posted here. Check it out!
As to the instructions about how to do paradiddle, just watch the video or you can browse the web. ^_^

How does it feel losing something?
Painful? Perhaps yes..
Well, I just lost my cellphone yesterday on my way to a mall. How do I feel? Nothing.
It's not really my first time to have lost something. For the record, I have lost only three valuable things this year. I seldom lose a thing valuable to me because I make sure it's well secured. But there really some instances when things go out of control.
The first time was when I left my wallet inside a public utility van. After knowing my wallet is gone, I hurried back to where i was dropped off and to where the terminal of the van is thinking I could still retrieved it - I failed. I really hope that time that whosoever found it will return it to me because all the information he/she needed to know about me is in the wallet. I even have my school ID and my cellphone number, yet after months of waiting no one texted or even returned my ID to the guard at the school. I don't mind whether they will return the money, what Im after was the valuable things inside it.
The second was my USB. I just found out one day that it was already gone. I might have handed it someone, then it was not returned. USB's are cheaper nowadays.. I can always buy a new one. But I can never replace what's inside of it - the important documents, pictures.
Lastly is my cellphone. It fell while I was riding a tricycle. My cellphone is not high-tech as i consider it. Actually, Its LCD is not colored and has no camera (I dont know what brand of Nokia it is). So I was really thinking that people will not have interest of stealing or keeping it - I was wrong. I tried calling it many times. At first, the phone still rings but later it was turned off.

How come people are so dishonest nowadays?

Ano kaya 'yon.. Exciting! ^_^
After reading some posts about some tips on virus prevention and cure, it's now time for me to share my own.
By the way, I'm not really a computer geek or some kind of a sage when it comes to this field (In fact this is not even related with profession); nevertheless, what I'm sharing is based on my experience with this kind of problem. As the saying goes, "Experience is the best teacher!".
Note: The following suggestions are for virus prevention only and not for treating already infected pc's. The two concepts are different. The already infected pc has some viruses that will hinder some of the functions of the virus prevention program (or the tips i will be sharing), although some tips may actually work yet in rare instances only based on my experience.
1. Secure a trusted and effective anti-virus software, then install it (of course!). These softwares will block the viruses from running itself into the computer system. However, make sure that the software is really reliable and updated as much as possible because there are new viruses and trojans out there that are not yet listed and included in the softwares system/function.
Here are the following anti-virus programs that I have used so far and have proven their worth:
a. AOL Active Virus Shield - this one is powered by
Kaspersky and is only intended for promotional purposes by AOL. That is why there is no more available download for this one in the net. (I was lucky I was able to download a copy and experience its effectiveness before it's gone. Sad thing is, I needed to reformat my pcs system for some reasons. By such time, there were no more copies and license to use the product. )
b.
Kaspersky - Knowing how effective AOL Active Virus Shield was, I tried searching for another anti-virus with such label. There it is, The Kaspersky itself. This one is truly amazing in blocking malwares and other unwanted programs that run automatically. Thus, any virus attempt of installing itself is always apprehended - stopped! The result is a safer computer. However, I still had a problem encountered; it is not about its effectiveness but about its price! Yes! This one is not free! Unlike the first one... That time I didn't have much money to pay for it (I don't even have a credit card) so I tried using the hacked version (lets kip it a secret! I stopped using it anyway... Someone from the authorities might caught me.. hehehe..). Anyhow, if it's okay with you to pay the price in exchange for the protection it offers, then go for it.. It's probably more practical than paying for repair when your PC is already nonfunctional.
c.
Mcafee - Just like Kaspersky, this one is not free. Yet I tried using it because of the reputation of the company in giving total protection for PC's. Indeed, it is effective. Same with the previous, i'll cost you a penny. To give you some tips, I didn't actually buy them. What I did is I used the trial version they offer. For 30 days you will be experiencing most of the product's components and even having updates everyday up to 30 days only. For me, I doesn't matter if it's only 30 days, at least my PC is safe within the span of time. My only problem by then is to search for another anti-virus software with the same promo that i can avail of every month.
By the way, another problem I had with
Mcafee is that it consumes a lot of memory, which somehow slows down your computer.
d. Avira AntiVir PE Premium - same with the previous, it entitles you with a 30-day trial time to enjoy its effectiveness. But mind you, even after several months of being expired, I'm still using this software up to now. That only proves how good this product is..
Note:
There are disabled features when you use the trial versions.
And above all, I'm not payed to advertise them. It's a way to repay them for the use of their product and the benefits I got. Fair enough.
2. Use a DeepFreezer (DeepFreeze) - This is actually endorsed to me by one of my friend in TYG, Kuya James, who is an IT specialist. It's a program which is more like a system restore because it goes back to the system from which you froze (or saved) every time you restart (and shutdown and reopen) your computer. Whatever changes you have made in your PC, if the icon is on, it will still go back to its previous setting.
This is a perfect combination with an effective anti-virus program. Even if a tenacious virus will get pass the anti-virus, it still wont penetrate inside the system because it will just be deleted every time the computer restarts - it's as if u didn't experience any virus attempt (just make sure the virus is not present in the unfrozen sections of the computer like the Drive D).
This product also has disadvantages, which up for you to discover and adopt with...
3. Avoid surfing unsafe sites like Gaming sites, porn sites and the like - the message is simple: They are not safe!
4. Try using Mozilla Firefox - I heard it has some virus-proof features.. I don't know if it's really true.. well, I simply prefer using it..
5. Be cautious in inserting removable media - they might be virus carriers! Try not to double-click them when opening. Instead, go to my computers then click the folders icon just below the file menu bar/toolbar. After which, a tree will appear at the left side. Scan the media with your chosen software, then you may now click and open the media.
(There are also other ways on how not to activate viruses in removable media. Try researching.)
Well, that's it. I cannot think of some more tips. Perhaps I'll just make another posts.
Time check, it's already 3:06am of November 19, 2008. Sleeping time.
By the way, I'm open for any suggestions, questions, clarifications, violent reactions, and corrections. Feel free to comment.
Now my blog is cleaner than before. I finally decided to remove all the advertisements embedded in my blog.
I just came to realize, I'm not blogging for money anyway. I'm not payed to blog anyway (thanks to
Trashman's post). Perhaps, I should again check my purpose of blogging.

I'm now back in the blogosphere. I'd been busy this past months that is why i had no time to update my blog, even just checking my friendster account. Whew! Fourth year na pala talaga ako. I now only have less than six months, by then I will be exiting the portals of ndmu entering a new arena of life - my teaching career. Honestly, arriving at this point of my life, I began feeling confused and uncertain of what life will be for me. What will now happen to me after my college life? of course it will not be the same day like you'll wake up in the morning, take a bath, eat breakfast then go to school, seat in a class then go out when the bell ring, chat with your friends, go out for a gimmick and the likes that usually happen in college. Naiiisip ko pa lang na ganun na ang mangyayari, nalulungkot na ako. Hay..
Advice? Anyone?
It's a sad news that stuns the whole nation especially the world of showbiz for an actor in the persona of Rudy Fernandez have given up a fight - a fight between life and death (char!)
Everyone dies! It's inevitable. This cliche sinked in as I was watching the news flooded of his story. Naalala ko tuloy si William Wallace, my idol, when he shouted out this phrase "Every man dies, not every man really lives" (just a correlation, hehe).
Another realization again, death comes to everyone - actors, billionaires, presidents, and plebeians. But before death knocks on our door, have we exerted all our means to create a legacy, something that people will remember? Have we exerted all effort to touch other peoples' lives?
Good for Rudy because he is an actor. But is it enough just to be famous so that you will be remembered?
Saka ko lng naappreciate ang lahat nung pinapalabas sa TV nung may nagtestimony na lalaki. Sabi nya, "Nakapag-aral ang anak ko dahil sa kanya". And for that, Rudy will forever remain in that person's heart. By that his existence has become meaningful to that person. Pakitranslate lng po sa English =)
How I wish I could do the same to other people. But for now, by doing good things in my own simple ways, I hope I could touch others.
Salamat pala Rudy! In a way, natouch mo ang life ko.. =) See you in heaven. It so happen na nauna ka lang. =)

She turned her back, as I, heart bleeding,
clasped my arms tightly around her waist.
I could feel her grief, I hope she felt mine.
I had to loosen my arms - my very last resort.
She held her hands nigh, breathing me away.
Her sigh resonated magnified like a broken string,
resonated in the cadence of her tears.
I felt the need to utter the words,
words my heart have been longing to say.
But then, her silhouette faded.
Now, here I am weeping beside her.
I no longer feel her grief, still hoping she felt mine.
Memories haunting;
heart bleed,
unclasped arms,
unuttered words,
words she will never hear:
"Farewell, Mama. I love you!"
I feel really stupid. Every time i try to improve my blog, i end up improving nothing. Im checking some nice templates so that i can already change my current one but i dont know how to.
And WHAT the heck is RSS Feed?
Can anyone explain it to me in layman's term..
What's wrong with my adsense.. There is a notice in my dashboard saying that i need to verify my adsence account, but i already did so. Still the notice appears..
One more thing, Im in need of a blogging partner. Pwede kb?
It's 12:39 am of June 6, 2008. I'm in front of the computer thinking of something to post while having my supfast (supper and breakfast). Prior to that, I have already spent hours trying to design my blog and reading other blogs to get ideas on how this thing works. Yet what I get is reddish eyes with black sagging lumps of skin under them.
Darn! I just hate writing, how much more making a post. You might be asking why am I keeping a blog 'cause basically it is like writing. Well, everyone has reasons why they have a blog. I just want to share mine:
- I'm gonna be an English teacher someday (hehe, I still have the guts to boast this well in fact I still don't know how to properly use prepositions) Anyway, that's definitely the point. I need an avenue to practice this skill so that I could truly teach what I know, though blood gushes out of my nose every time I'm trying to be an Englessero.
- I need a place to burst out my utots, I mean thoughts. Im actually a person who seldom share his opinions, stories and stupidities in life (ayan, yabangan na). Or maybe I dont share because I dont have the guts to do so (ewan).
- Earth calling Zerwin! win...! win...! Please be updated with the latest technologies! gies..! gies..!
- Lastly, advertisement equals income. Well, I also have this in mind just like others. I have been thinking lately of how to make money so that I can start being independent. I just want to go to different places, buy gadgets, watch movies. and bar hop without asking money from my parents. And I find blogging as a good avenue. I hope it won't turn out that blogging is for money making. For me, gaining money out of blogging is just an additional benefit or reward and not as the primary compensation for doing so (perhaps Im just trying to justify things).
Every blogger has reasons why he/she blogs. At the end of the day, it will all depend on his motives.
That's it! I finally laid down my thoughts that took me almost four hours to compose.
I am now officially giving birth to my blog. It's actually my first time to do this. In fact I don't even make a diary. I'm not fond of writing maybe that is why. So I guess this would be a challenge.
How am I going to customize this? I just a newbie you know, so I probably wont be making sense in all my posts. If by chance someone gets to read this, please leave a comment so I could improve my blog and myself as well(?).
You might be asking why I named this blog as "blog-adag". Well, there is actually a reason of course, but not really that profound or you may say it's insensible. Just watch out for my next post. =)
